Cookie Policy

1. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let a site keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how you use the platform. Gatoms uses a minimal set of cookies (see the table in Section 2). We also use one other browser-storage technology — `localStorage` — for product analytics via PostHog; that is described in Section 4 and is NOT a cookie.

2. Cookies We Use

CookieTypePurposeExpiry
sb-* (Supabase Auth)EssentialAuthentication session managed by Supabase Auth — keeps you signed in and authorises your dashboard requests. Cleared on sign-out.Session + refresh

3. Essential Cookies

Essential cookies are required for the platform to function. Without them you cannot sign in or access your dashboard. The only essential cookies we set are the Supabase Auth `sb-*` session cookies listed above. They are cleared automatically when you sign out, and cannot be disabled while you are using authenticated features of the platform.

4. Analytics — PostHog (localStorage, not cookies)

We use PostHog for product analytics — page views, conversion funnels, and feature-usage metrics. PostHog stores its session identifier in your browser's `localStorage` rather than in a cookie. We use PostHog's EU data-residency host by default (`https://eu.i.posthog.com`) unless configured otherwise. We do not send your data to any advertising network. You can opt out by clearing your browser's site data for gatoms.com, or by enabling "Do Not Track" in your browser (PostHog respects it).

5. Third-Party Cookies

Gatoms does not place third-party advertising cookies. If you access Gatoms through a partner link (e.g., a company HR portal), that partner may set their own cookies subject to their own privacy policy. We have no control over third-party cookies set outside the gatoms.com domain.

6. How to Control Cookies and Browser Storage

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block, delete, or be notified before a cookie is set. To clear PostHog's `localStorage` entries, use your browser's "Clear site data" option for gatoms.com. Note that disabling essential cookies will prevent you from using authenticated features. 7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of Gatoms after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
