Tech Lead

About this role

Listed MNC operates a B2B enterprise platform serving clients in manufacturing, retail, and healthcare. The Tech Lead role owns a team of 6 engineers delivering a major platform re-architecture over the next 18 months — migrating a 12-year-old monolith to a modular, cloud-native architecture.

You'll set technical direction, lead design reviews, manage delivery timelines, and be the primary escalation point for your team's technical issues. You're expected to be hands-on — reviewing code, contributing to architecture, and unblocking engineers directly.

This is a high-visibility programme with executive sponsorship. Performance in this role is directly tied to promotion opportunities at the Senior Engineering Manager and Principal Architect level.

What we're looking for

• ✓6–9 years of engineering experience with 2+ years in a tech lead or senior IC role
• ✓Deep Java backend expertise; familiarity with React for cross-functional collaboration
• ✓Experience leading large-scale migration or re-architecture projects
• ✓Strong delivery track record — you can manage technical risk, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations simultaneously
• ✓Comfortable in enterprise environments with compliance, audit, and procurement overhead
• ✓Bonus: AWS architecture certifications; experience with SAP or Oracle adjacency
